Henry Ford Estate

Heritage Interpretation Project at the Henry Ford Estate

Awarded important heritage interpretation planning project at the Henry Ford Estate in Michigan, USA.

The Fair Lane estate was once the home Clara and Henry Ford pf Ford Motorcars fame. The house and estate was much more than just a home to the "Fords"; it was a place where they "took simple ideas and turned them into actions that opened the highway to everyone".

Ownership of the Fair Lane estate was transferred from the Univ. of Michigan to the same folks that manage the Edsel & Eleanor Ford House (Grosse Pointe Shores, Michigan). The team are bringing back Fair Lane to be a place of discovery, exploration and inspiration and were looking for innovative ways to "reinterpret" the estate. While Fair Lane, is currently closed for restoration, the grounds and gardens are accessible to visitors.
