Visitor Center
A facility, open to the public, which provides information about the area’s natural and cultural resources. A visitor center may contain exhibits, visitor facilities, and interpretive information.

Visitor Contact Station
Any location, ranging from a table, a kiosk, to a building where people can obtain information about a natural or cultural resource.

Visitor Studies
The interdisciplinary study of human experiences within informal education settings; the systematic collection and analysis of information or data to inform decisions about interpretive exhibits and programs; measuring or assessing the effects of museum exhibitions and/or interpretive programs and media on learners.
