Traditional NPS Style Base
The traditional US National Park Service pedestal exhibit base tends to be used less and less these days. In its place the Cantilever Pedestal Frame is used. Cantilever Pedestal is a better choice because they are cheaper, easier to maintain and don’t have the health and safety problems associated with the traditional NPS pedestal. Research has shown that children have hurt themselves on the sharp bottom edge of the traditional NPS frame. However, there are situations where a traditional NPS exhibit base is required so we continue to supply them!
The legs of the traditional NPS pedestal exhibit base are wider than the cantilever pedestal frame. Panels are displayed in a frame, which is welded to the two posts at 30˚ or 45˚. Graphic panels are installed using the removable top rail of the frame. The HDC Traditional NPS exhibit base are built to order from hard wood, mild steel, stainless steel and alloy and can be powder coated in any colour or galvanized.
