HDC Heritage Interpretation Expert


Internationally renowned author of “Interpretive Master Planning”, Professor John Veverka is with out doubt the worlds leading heritage interpretation expert.
John (or JV!) received both his BSc and MSc degrees majoring in Interpretive Services from Ohio State University where he also taught Interpretive Master Planning.

John went on to spend 5 years in the PhD program at Michigan State University majoring in Interpretive Services and teaching Introductory and Advanced Interpretation Courses.


JV was an instructor at Lansing Community College teaching courses in Business Communications and Speech and he also minored in recreational marketing, consumer behavior and psychology of the audience and motivational psychology.

John has also taught at the Heritage Tourism Institute at the New York State University and the Tourism Institute Faculty at the West Georgia State University where he has lectured on a variety of heritage interpretation and tourism courses aimed at working tourism professionals.
