HDC Fossil Exterior Grade Interpretation Panels and Outdoor Interpretation Panels
High quality solid composite, high pressure laminate (dHPL) exterior interpretive panels and outdoor interpretation panels
OVERVIEW: High Pressure Laminate Exterior Grade Interpretation Panels
HDC Fossil outdoor interpretation panels are the highest specification outdoor interpretation panels on the market.
Both laboratory and field tests prove that these out perform anything else available including GRP, fiberglass, melamine and polycarbonate.
Our high-pressure laminate exterior panels are formed into a solid composite sheet under immense heat and pressure using environmentally friendly resins and recycled materials. Our panels are so environmentally friendly they are GREENGUARD certified!
Our panels are totally fire retardant, impervious to moisture and resistant to UV rays, scratching, chipping, cracking, impact damage and graffiti.
HDC Fossil exterior interpretive panels are protected with a 10-year UV inhibitor, which is guaranteed for a full 10-years – no other panel manufacturer is that confident in their panels!
HDC Fossil high pressure laminate outdoor interpretive panels are manufactured with a smooth sub-surface, facing image printed using our own 12-Colour HD Printing process using environmentally friendly inks.
HDC Fossil outdoor interpretive panels are available in thickness from 1/16” to 1” . Panels over 1/2” / 25mm are self-supporting and can be fitted with threaded inserts. Panels of 0.035” or less can be formed to simple bends and profiles. Panels of 0.048" can be used for general purpose applications and suitable for practically all flat (horizontal or vertical) installations.

Rockwell Hardness HDC Fossil outdoor interpretation panels have a Rockwell Hardness M scale of 95 to 115
Flammability ASTM E HDC Fossil outdoor interpretation panels have a 162 flame propagation index of 10 (Radiant Panel) to 15 without drip of flame for a 1/10" to 1/2" thickness outdoor signs & exterior panels.
NEMA LD3: HDC Fossil outdoor interpretation panels exceed the standards for decorative laminates established by the National Electrical Manufacturers Association NEMA LD3-1991. These standards establish the minimum criteria for resistance to wear, boiling water, high temperature, cigarette burns, fading, dimensional stability, staining, appearance and formability (bending and post forming grades).
Chemical & Stain Resistant: HDC Fossil exterior interpretive panel are perfectly suited for commercial use where chemical products are used. HDC Fossil outdoor interpretation panels are resistant to common household products, solvents, mild alkalis, and diluted mild acids. Some staining agents, especially those with grease bases paint or ink, will require the use of a solvent for removal. These stains can be removed using turpentine, 100% mineral spirits, isopropyl “rubbing alcohol”, Goof Off “Graffiti Remover” or WD-40, lacquer thinner, acetone or MEK.
Static Electricity: HDC Fossil outdoor interpretation panels do not store static electricity and are therefore suitable for use in controlled environments where accumulation and retention of static electricity must be avoided.
Fire Retardant: HDC Fossil outdoor interpretation panels are suitable for application where fire retardant properties are required by building codes.
Toxicity Test: HDC Fossil outdoor interpretation panels have passed the LC50 Pittsburgh Protocol Toxicity Test and are equal to and no more toxic than wood or paper.
