Highbrook Smokehouse, Weald AONB, West Sussex, UK

Fabricate HDC Fossil outdoor interpretive panels and pedestals for the recently restored Smokehouse at Highbrook near Ardingly in the High Weald AONB.

The smokehouse dating from the 1740s, has been lovingly restored by its local Highbrook community - they have replaced rotten timbers, re-pointed brickwork, applied fresh lime plaster to the walls and installed a solid floor. Outside seating has also been built to give walkers passing through the hamlet a place to sit and admire the smokehouse next to Highbrook's historic church.

The project was been funded by the Weald Forest Ridge Landscape Partnership Scheme.
